About Betsy Vickers
Betsy Vickers is honored to be a partner and COO of Healing & Becoming. She received her Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2003 and her Bachelor's in Social Work from Siena Heights University in 2000. Betsy has a passion for helping others find hope, healing, and freedom from eating disorders. She grew up in Jackson, where she battled an eating disorder for ten years. After she was strong in her recovery, she served as Executive Director of Eating Disorders & Education Network (EDEN), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, working to raise eating disorder awareness and support in the Jackson community.
Although Betsy's specialty is in eating disorders, she is fully gifted and equipped in other facets. Betsy also works with depression, anxiety, bipolar, addictions, personality disorders and grief and loss. Betsy is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Betsy takes a holistic approach with her clients, helping them meet their emotional, relational, psychological and relational needs, which inspires and leads them to change towards a healthier and more balanced life.
